EU:s nya långtidsbudget – frukostseminarium @ Europahuset
Maj 30 kl. 08:30 – 10:00

EU Budget for the Future: Neighbourhood and the World

Welcome to a breakfast seminar with Felix Fernandez-Shaw, Director of the European Commission’s department for International Cooperation and Development Policy, and Åsa Thomasson, Policy Coordinator for aid issues at CONCORD Sweden, in House of Europe on Wednesday 30 May.

On 2 May the European Commission presented its long-term budget proposal for the 2021-2027 period. The EU is the world’s biggest donor of development assistance, the first trading partner and the first foreign investor for almost every country in the world. The EU budget helps the Union to implement its priorities globally and to rise to the challenges and opportunities. The new long-term budget will bring a significant modernisation of the external dimension of the EU budget.

This event is a “Citizens’ Dialogue”, giving the opportunity for citizens to ask questions to the European Commission, but also – as importantly – for the European Commission to listen to the citizens’ concerns.

The seminar is co-organised by the European Commission Representation in Sweden and CONCORD Sweden.
